Episode 9 / 1

Nora Whitmore was raised from childhood by a powerful Virginia political dynasty as their sole heir. Endowed with a remarkable knack for electoral data, she single-handedly propelled her fiancé Julian Cross into Congress, earning herself the media moniker "the future First Lady closest to the White House. " On the day of their engagement party, a young woman named Vivian burst in with a DNA test report, proving she was the long-lost biological daughter of the Whitmore family. For a more palatable bloodline narrative and better electoral leverage, Nora's adoptive parents immediately disowned her, and Julian passed their engagement on to Vivian. After Nora refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement, she was drugged during the president's private fundraising weekend, nearly falling victim to a scandal involving a secretly filmed video. She fled into the secure quarters of the widowed President Adrian Cole, who rescued her — only for her rivals to leak the story first, branding her "an ambitious woman who seduced the president.
