Leah Sullivan gets into a car accident. She calls her husband, Ryan Shaw, for surgery, but her lawyer husband hangs up. Leah sees her husband holding another woman at the next hospital bed. That woman is the driver who hit her and caused her miscarriage. Leah receives a lawsuit delivered by Ryan. Her husband is suing her for staging an accident on behalf of the driver.
