The Big Wife Rules is a warm domestic comedy centered on full-time housewife Cleo and her lazy husband Zane. Zane only focuses on work and entertainment, ignoring all housework and childcare, which triggers Cleo’s thorough household reform. She sets clear labor divisions, establishes a scoring system run by their two kids, and forces Zane to experience all trivial family chores from cooking, grocery shopping to taking care of children alone. During the process, Zane gradually realizes the heavy invisible labor of housewives. With the help of Cleo’s lawyer friend, his mother and other families, he abandons the outdated mindset of "men earn money while women handle everything". The story ends with the whole family forming equal partnerships and mutual understanding.
