A young girl, Tansy Turner, is bitten by a Zombie and becomes a half-human, half-zombie being. She can understand the Zombie Tongue while retaining her human consciousness. She disguises herself, fearing that exposing her identity will bring disaster. Everyone regards her as a prodigy, and the zombie horde holds her in special reverence. This special girl reluctantly accepts everyone's favoritism while just wanting to live a quiet and low-key life.
