Stella Sheridan is adopted by Julian Morgan. Stella falls in love with Julian. Faced with Stella's confession and Julian's impending arranged marriage, Stella threatens her life, forcing Julian to choose on his engagement day. Julian gives up the engagement, rushes abroad, and they become a couple for three days. Stella then disappears, leaving a note: 'Have a safe trip back.' Their love becomes a tragic one.
