John Beckett discovers photos of Helen with Julian Graham. Their daughter, Chloe Beckett, and son-in-law, Luke, side with Helen. John proposes divorce and reveals his true identity: the sole heir of the Beckett Corporation. Helen, Chloe, and Julian incite a doctors' strike to force John to give up his shares. The crisis is averted by Clara Willows, John's fiancée. Julian is imprisoned, Helen suffers a mental breakdown. John decides to start a new life with Clara.
