In a world where Beast Souls reign supreme, Lyon is the school's most notorious 'slacker' failure. About to graduate from his senior year, his Beast Soul has yet to awaken. His fiancée, the ice-queen Campus Queen and S-class genius Serena Shaw, publicly demands to annul their marriage contract at the school's final Awakening Ceremony. However, what no one knows is that the F-class Sleepywurm Lyon awakens is actually the SSS-class Primeval Dragon, which has slumbered for centuries! The Primeval Dragon's revival requires gathering the faith of the heirs from the Four Divine Beast Clans, and Serena Shaw is the first piece of the puzzle. To save the marriage contract, Lyon makes a bet: he will fight Serena Shaw in the Freshman Ranking Tournament to decide the outcome. During the finals, Lyon activates the power of the Primeval Dragon. As the divine dragon's phantom, spanning heaven and earth, unfurls behind him, the ice-queen God of War is finally horrified to discover that the man whose engagement she annulled is, in fact, The Primeval Dragon!
