Josie is born under the Cursed Star of Solitude, causing any man who gets close to her to be plagued by misfortune. Knowing her days are numbered, her mother worries about her only daughter and forces her to get married. However, due to Josie's unique curse, men who approach her either die or get injured. Even The Matchmaker God can't meet his quota because of her, so he descends to the mortal realm to help Josie find her Destined One. Only the male lead, Ian Pei, is immune to her curse; in fact, she brings him good fortune, turning peril into safety. They are a match made in heaven, but their social statuses are worlds apart. To save her mother, Josie trusts The Matchmaker God and disguises herself as a nanny to enter the Pei family home and take care of Ian Pei.
