The Dewdrop Affair at the Hall of Grace

Episode 7 / 1784.4K

After the mysterious death of his senior brother, Huijue, a disciple of Lingjue Temple, disobeys his master's orders and sneaks into the forbidden Hall of Dew, where he witnesses a noble lady conspiring with the abbot. He accidentally discovers that the temple, under the guise of 'praying for a son,' is hiding children meant to be used by the Imperial Court for making elixirs. The maidservant Qiuyue, under secret orders from the Lord Chancellor to assassinate Huijue, is instead thwarted by him. Huijue joins forces with his Eldest Senior Brother, Huineng, who faked his death, to expose the truth that their Master and the lady were saving people under the pretext of 'praying for blessings,' and they face a siege from the Imperial Court. In the end, they sacrifice their lives to save the innocent. Huijue inherits his master's mantle, transforming the temple into a place of salvation in a chaotic world. Suspense and political intrigue intertwine, revealing the good and evil of human nature beneath the surface of taboos.
