Ella, born of Moon Wolf and vampire blood, is despised for being unable to shift. To secure border peace, Wolf King Leon sacrifices her to the Eternal Night Abyss, where Vampire Emperor Kaelen rescues her. Her dark magic may break his ancient blood curse, and they form an equal pact. As Ella becomes the Dark Queen, Leon sets a trap to stop the prophecy. With Kaelen, her mother Serra, and allied outcasts, Ella defeats Leon, ends the wolf-vampire feud, and creates a new order of equality.
