Buddhist disciple Kaelan and his Master are invited to investigate an official's mansion plagued by strange events. The young lady suffers from an incurable illness, linked to her maid, Zhao Shuang. They share the same heart and destiny; if one is well, the other's life is in peril, trapped by dark magic. Kaelan seeks the cause, sees through the evil spirit, and uses Buddhist techniques to break the bizarre bond, resolve the calamity, and quell the chaos.
