Against the Light

Linda Lamont was fired. Her adopted son, Roy Shaw, and husband, Peter Shaw, conspire to extort her assets. When Linda refuses, Roy assaults her. Peter has been lacing her medication, and Linda sues for divorce. Roy pressures her into signing a high-interest loan. Linda wins the divorce case. She meets Chen Guozheng, but his son's opposition forces them apart. Roy robs Chen Guozheng. Linda gets injured. Roy is arrested.
