The Nether Emperor

This series tells the story of Kai, who is deceived by his wife, Faye Zhuang, and his good friend, Roman Huang, into taking the fall for Roman and going to prison. In prison, he is mentored by a master and learns the skill 'To Kill with a Word,' eventually becoming the legendary Nether Emperor who holds The Book of Life and Death and rules The Endless Abyss. To make amends for his debt to his mother, Kai plans to hold a Longevity Banquet for her five years later. However, he discovers that his best friend and wife have been deceiving him all along. Unaware of Kai's true identity, he begins his revenge against Roman Huang, Faye Zhuang, and others. During this process, he finds out that the wife he married out of gratitude, Faye Zhuang, was not the girl who helped him back then, but her sister, Selina Zhuang, with whom he finds true love.
