To repay the Miller family, Henry Shaw funds a road project for Apricot Creek Village. He wanted to pave a path in front of the Miller's house, but is besieged! Don Warren, coveting land, conspires with the Village Elder to control the project. He embezzles funds, cuts corners, and incites villagers to accuse Henry Shaw of private gain. He harasses Mia.
