Veridia faces Vuldrok; political marriage proposed. Crown Prince pushes Grand Princess Seraphina to be sent to Vuldrok. Seraphina retorts: 'If a princess can be sent, so can a prince!' Emperor decrees trials; loser sent for political marriage. Crown Prince fails, sent to Vuldrok. Seraphina commands northern campaign, slays Vuldrok leader, quells war. Becomes Grand Princess Protector, proclaiming: The children of Veridia will never be used for political marriages!
