The Mind-Reading Empress

Ming Warren time-travels and becomes a fake eunuch. Tasked with preparing a bath for the emperor, he wonders if the emperor is a woman. The emperor, possessing mind-reading abilities, hears his thought. To confirm, the emperor orders guards to strip him, confirming he is not a real eunuch. Instead of executing him, the emperor sends him to serve in The Empress's palace.
