Finn Conrad, a delivery man, is a former heir. His daughter Candy is hit by a car driven by his wife Lynn and Zane. Lynn prioritizes Zane's daughter, Rainey, delaying Candy's treatment, leading to her death. Finn begs Lynn to visit Candy; she refuses. Finn returns to his family, asks Lynn for divorce. Lynn plans to attend the Conrad family funeral with Zane to meet the heir, ignoring Candy's funeral. As they enter, they see Finn walking out.
