Jade Ashford's merman companion beast, Caspian Vale, betrayed her to save a scholarship girl. Jade plucked ninety-nine scales from him and sent him away, then adopted a lop-eared rabbit beastfolk, Aster Hale. Aster looks soft and sweet but has insane combat power, and he protects her with everything he has. Two months later, Caspian regrets it and begs to come back, only to hear Aster panting inside: "Sis, is my kissing not good enough?" A regretful chase, no way back.
