Sena Ly, an Athenian noble lady, and her jealous sister Nephil are both reborn after Nephil stabs her to death at a priest coronation. To torture Sena, Nephil rigs the garland ceremony, forcing her to wed Hades, who disguises himself as a beggar. Despite her family’s scorn, Sena stays loyal to him. When Hades is summoned back to the Underworld by his mother Rhea, Sena endures endless humiliation. To retrieve Hades’ underworld key stolen by Nephil, she barefoot walks over burning coals. Enraged Hades reveals his true identity as the King of Underworld and punishes all wrongdoers. Later in the Underworld, Sena withstands Hecate’s traps, passes Rhea’s trials, and rejects eternal life without Hades. Finally, Hades dethrones Hecate and crowns Sena the immortal Queen of the Underworld.
