Ethan, the quiet owner of an old bookstore in San Francisco, finds an abandoned little girl Luna on his shop doorstep. The kid is a walking bad luck magnet who brings nonstop disasters—falling shelves, spilled ink, broken furniture and endless small accidents. Reluctantly forced to take temporary care of her for three months, Ethan complains nonstop yet quietly takes care of her through fevers, lost nights and messy daily chaos. As they spend time together, the cold bookstore owner gradually softens. Luna relies entirely on him, and Ethan grows attached to the tiny "troublemaker". After going through foster family interviews, children’s book creation and official adoption procedures, he finally decides to legally adopt Luna. The warm slice-of-life story records their mutual healing, ordinary trivialities and the precious family bond built from an unexpected encounter.
