The Merchant's Ungrateful Bride

Imperial Merchant Gideon Cole saves Rosalind Willow, giving her a token for aid. The greedy Willow family mistakes it for love, takes over his company, smashes an imperially bestowed treasure, jeopardizes royal military provisions, and colludes to frame him, nearly ruining Gideon. Gideon punishes the villainous Willow family. He accepts a disaster relief mission, thwarts treasonous plots of court officials, and finds happiness and the people's support.
