Jane Garner, a forestry PhD, returns to her hometown to combat desertification. Faced with villagers' pursuit of profits and obstruction from her uncle, she uses her knowledge to predict a sandstorm and protects her home. She leads the villagers to ecological wealth through a Sea Buckthorn cooperative, revitalizing Yellow Ridge Village.
