Emperor Aurelius Chambers accepts a system's terms to save Queen Evelyn Sterling from childbirth, sending her to the modern world, losing her memories. Aurelius time-travels to find his wife and daughter. He recognizes Evelyn, meets his daughter, and becomes a Sterling Family son-in-law. Aurelius investigates Simon Sterling, Landon Lockwood's conspiracy, and summons an Imperial Physician to cure his daughter's congenital disease. He foils the plot, Evelyn regains memory, and the family reunites.
