Wade Shaw is exploited by his relative, Zane Goldman. He breaks ties, buys a scrapped speedboat, and establishes himself at Eastport. Facing boycotts from the Goldman family, Wade Shaw makes a name with impressive catches. In a ten-day 'fish king' bet, he achieves legendary status with a wild large yellow croaker, defeating a capital monopoly, rewriting the rules of the dock, and carrying on the craft of seafaring.
