The Sacrificial Husband

Forrest Lin marries into the Sutton family as a son-in-law. He discovers his wife, Vesper Sutton, must enter the ancestral hall nightly to 'serve the Ancestor.' Forrest investigates. He learns from Ruby about the Sutton family's tradition of 'a new son-in-law every three years.' He realizes he is the 'Pure Yang sacrificial offering' for the Ancestor's blood transfusion. Forrest teams with Ruby to kill Vesper Sutton, but falls into Ruby's trap. Forrest kills Ruby and escapes.
