My Husband Chose His Old Flame

The protagonist's mother-in-law is critically ill and needs urgent surgery. The protagonist calls her husband, but he retorts, 'So what if your mom is critically ill? It's useless for me to be there.' As the desperate protagonist tries to explain, she hears the voice of her husband's old flame on the other end. It turns out he is having a reunion dinner with the old flame's family. He then hangs up on her.
