After Divorce, I Remarry Up

A hunter's daughter saved a lost scholar in the snow, followed him down the mountain, bore his son, and served his family. He repaid her by calling her a 'servant' in public, ashamed of her low birth. She takes her son and leaves. He's sure she'll come crawling back. Instead, she marries a disabled war hero who turns out to be a Duke — and suddenly the scholar can't reach her at all.
