Driving the World: The Comeback

Lin Yaochi, the world's number-one autonomous-driving engineer, accepted an invitation from the chairman of Xingchi Group to join the company. But upon arriving, he was targeted by the chairman's daughter, who had just returned from abroad — she dismissed him as a parasite on the company and tried to fire him. To protect his subordinates, Lin Yaochi resigned voluntarily — but before leaving, he warned the chairman's daughter that the autonomous-driving system wasn't fully mature and must not be test-driven. She insisted on testing it anyway, which caused a serious accident — and then she pinned the blame on Lin Yaochi. Fuelled by indignation, he joined a rival company and decisively outshone the chairman's daughter at every turn, leaving her drowning in regret.
