Workplace Tangled romance Power imbalance

Emily celebrates her new job at Steele Empire with a one-night stand, only to discover the man is her new boss, Dominic Steele. He dismisses their encounter as a "mistake," maintaining a cold professionalism that deeply wounds her. Emily soon learns she's pregnant with his child and that he's engaged to Sabrina Rodriguez. Her abusive ex, Nate, resurfaces, threatening her and leaking a sex scandal video of Dominic. Nate then vandalizes Emily's car and apartment, explicitly threatening her and the baby. Forced by circumstances, Emily reveals her pregnancy to Dominic. Despite his initial anger, Dominic becomes fiercely protective after the threats, insisting Emily move into his house for safety, a decision she reluctantly accepts amidst the chaos and his ongoing engagement. Her best friend, Sophie, offers unwavering support.
