In 1982, Lychee Village buyer Wayne Lynn predicts heavy rains will cut off roads, advises villagers to sell fruit early. Villager Susan Warren distorts price, incites villagers to wait for higher price, leading them to back out. Heavy rain causes landslide, lychees spoil. Villagers regret. Through confrontations, they clarify accounts, understand market truth. The village learns its lesson, establishes trading rules, relying on integrity and standards to re-stabilize lychee sales.
